Configuration Panel
This is the panel shown when you open the user’s configuration. This panel is shown on the picture above. In this panel, you can perform a quick configuration for the selected user.
The first step is to identify the username. user name. This name should correspond to the username of the Windows user account. To ease this work, when installed, net-MaMMa collects this information from the computer and shows them in the user's area - then you only need to select them and perform your configuration.
If you wish, you can always add new users.
Even though it does not affect the net-MaMMa behavior, you can define the user’s sex and age By doing this, you will ease the visualization of your users – girls will appear with a feminine icon and boys with a masculine icon.
To ease the initial user’s configuration, you can use the preset monitoring levels. Choose one from the drop-down menu:
- Deactivated: If you bind a user to this supervision type, net-MaMMa monitor will be turned off for him;
- Monitor: This supervision type monitors computer usage without blocking nor capturing images;
- Monitor / Screenshots: This supervision type monitors computer usage as well as screenshots during usage without blocking programs or Internet pages;
- Monitor / Block: This supervision type uses all functionalities of net-MaMMa - monitors and registers computer usage, internet navigation and screen shots as well as it blocks access to applications and Internet pages according to Administrator instructions;
- Customized: Choosing one of the previous supervision types and then altering any of its pre-defined configurations will turn your supervision type into a customized one and will automatically show this profile as the chosen one.
It is not advisable to set screenshot image quality to 100% because that would use a lot of disk space. We believe that 50% quality is a balanced value.
